A list of confirmed entrants is posted here as well. The 10K Run and 5K Relay Run will start at 8:15 a.m. at the Public Boat Launch on Donner Pass Road. Parking On race day, parking at the West End Beach area is very limited, and sometimes, non-existent. We strongly encourage you to arrive early and allow plenty of time to find parking (as well as to get body marked, set up your bike, etc.) Parking signs and volunteers will guide you to the next available location. Please do not park illegally, in areas where No Parking is posted, on private property or blocking any driveways. 10K entrants are encouraged to take our free shuttle bus to the event. The shuttle will run from Truckee High School to the Public Boat Launch (10K start) from 5:45 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. In the afternoon, return shuttles will run from 10:00 am to Noon. The shuttle is free for participants and spectators. Transition Area Please remember, do not bring any glass into the transition area; and put all trash in the provided receptacles. Every year, our staff and volunteers spend over an hour cleaning up energy bar wrappers, banana peels and other trash from the transition area. Please be courteous and be sure to properly dispose of all garbage. Pre-Race Meetings for Triathlons Still Need Accommodations? Volunteers We are still in need of volunteers for Saturday morning and Sunday morning. Volunteering is a great way to help out your fellow triathletes, while being a part of a great event. Most positions also allow you a great view of the competition. Volunteers will receive breakfast goodies, coffee, a free volunteer t-shirt, and complimentary lunch following the event. Positions include body marking, bike/run course monitoring, transition area monitors, timing, food area and registration. Simply check in at the volunteer check-in tent race morning anytime between 5:00 and 6:45 a.m. and our staff will direct you to the next area we need help. One Last Note Dogs are not permitted at West End Beach. We are all dog lovers, however, the Parks and Recreation department has a No-Dog rule for the entire West End Beach. Those bringing dogs will not be allowed in the park, therefore, we suggest that you either leave your dog at home or have someone watch it outside the gate. Please do not place our staff in an awkward situation as this is not our rule, but one that we must obey. Our permit reservation is quite strict on the NO DOG rule and we do not wish to jeopordize our relationship nor future permit use on the subject. Thanks in advance.
