The Largest Family-Style Footrace in the region prepares for the largest run in it's 17 year history
The 17th Annual Davis Turkey Trot Run/Walk is literally just around the corner! This year's event will take place in just 5 weeks and organizers have grand plans for this year's event. We have made some fun new changes to both the site area and kids run courses. These changes will offer more interactive activities along with a new spectator friendly kids course. The pre-registration entry fee is scheduled to increase this Sunday, October 17th, therefore, if you haven't registered yet, we strongly suggest you do so now!Pre-registration is $20 for the 5K/10K and $12 for the Kid's Runs. Long sleeve upgrades are available for 5K/10K entries for $5. Fees will increase for the 5K/10K on Sunday, October 17th to $22. Following is a list of the ways you can pre-register.
Please note: Official Turkey Trot entry forms are available at many Downtown Davis businesses as well as a majority of regional sporting good locations.
General Davis Turkey Trot Information:
- Distances Offered: 5K Run/Walk, 5K Baby Jogger/Stroller Division, 10K Run, Kid's 1/2 and 1/4 Mile Fun Runs
- Date: Saturday, November 20th
- Location: Civic Center Field, Downtown Davis
- Participation: 5,000 runners and walkers. This year, in order to make the event fun and safe for all, we are limiting the field to 5,000 participants.
- Awards and Age Groups: Three-deep awards in the 5K/10K Runs in 5 year age divisions up to 75+. Includes custom medal and Asics apparel. Ribbons to all Kid's Run finishers.
- Post-Race Festival: Vendor booths, canned food drive, live music and more. Our Kid's Fun Area will be doubled in size this year and will keep your children busy the entire morning! Kid's Fun Run will feature two re-designed courses with a special kid's-only finish line on the grass near the fun area.
- Event Benefits: The Davis Turkey Trot & Tot Runs assists several Davis non-profit organizations and clubs as well as the Yolo County Food Bank.

This Saturday, October 16th will be the date for the 9th Annual Marti Nelson Stride for Life 5K/10K Run/Walk in Vacaville. This event is a fundraiser for cancer research and features two loop courses through the streets of Vacaville. For more information on this event, visit http://www.canceractionnow.org/strideforlife/
The 24th Annual Davis Stampede is just around the corner. The 2005 event will take place on Sunday, February 6th. Mark your calendars! The Davis Stampede will include a 5K, 10K and Half Marathon. We are currently working on a brand-new venue at UC Davis that will include completely redesigned USATF certified courses.
Triathletes: Looking forward to the 2005 season? We are! Our 25th Annual Donner Lake Triathlon will take place on July 16-17th, 2005. Our 25th Anniversary celebration will be the biggest party we've hosted yet.
