REGISTRATION REMINDER: CHEVYS FRESH MEX RUN

The 12th Annual Chevys Fresh Mex Run/Walk will take place this Saturday, September 18th. Mother Nature is a new sponsor for this year's event and as so, will provide ideal race conditions on Saturday. The forecasted high on Saturday is a comfortable 75 degrees! If you were looking for one last reason as to why you should participate, now you have it.

If you haven't registered yet, we strongly suggest you get your entry in now! Following is a list of the ways you can still pre-register. Pre-registration is $27 for the 5K/12K and $17 for the Kid's Run. This includes your free post-race Fresh Mex lunch.

• · At Chevys. Today (9/14) is the last day to register at any of the area Chevys restaurants.
• · In Person. You can register in person at Fleet Feet - Davis through Thursday. You can also register in person at Chevys on the River from Noon to 6pm on Friday, September 17th.
• · Online. Online registration will be accepted through 8:00 a.m. on Friday, September 17th at www.changeofpace.com.

Race day registration will be accepted near the start line beginning at 6:30 a.m. at Discovery Park. This is also the location for bib # pick up for pre-registered participants. T-shirts and race bags will be available in the finish area.

DATES TO SAVE

The 5th Annual Mather Field Mud Run is just 2 weeks away. This unique event will take place on Saturday, September 25th. There is still space available in this fun event - pre-register today at www.changeofpace.com. This year, while you're crawling through the mud pit, be sure to say Hi to your friends at home and smile for the camera. Channel 31 will be broadcasting live from the event all morning long.

October 16th will be the date for the 9th Annual Marti Nelson Stride for Life 5K/10K Run/Walk in Vacaville. This event is a fundraiser for cancer research and features two loop courses through the streets of Vacaville. The 17th Annual Davis Turkey Trot is now accepting registration for it's 5K Run, 5K Walk, 10K and Kid's Fun Runs. This year's event will have a field limit of 5,000 participants, in order to keep the courses fun and safe for all. It may not be turkey time yet, but we suggest you get your registration in early for this year's event to guarantee yourself a space.
