10 YEARS OF TAKING LIFE IN STRIDE
Sunday, October 23

New course for our 10th anniversary. The 10th Annual Marti Nelson Stride for Life Run/Walk is taking place on Sunday, October 23. And to celebrate this monumental anniversary, we have made some significant changes that includes a brand new venue at Centennial Park. Centennial Park is just off I-80, is very easy to get to, and provides plenty of free parking for all participants. The event will still feature a 5K & 10K run/walk beginning at 8:30 am and a FREE Kids 1/4 mile Run at 10:00 am. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Marti Nelson Cancer Foundation.

Registration information: Pre-Registration still remains at $20.00. Please check our website for registration locations and packet-pick-up information (held at Fleet Feet-Vacaville on October 22nd). Entry to the event includes a race t-shirt, refreshments and a chance for some great raffle prizes. 2005 DAVIS TURKEY TROT- RUN FOR EDUCATION

A Healthy and Educating Experience

The 18th Annual Davis Turkey Trot Run for Education will take place in just 5 weeks. This family-oriented November tradition features a 5K run/walk, 10K run, 5K baby jogger run/walk, and the largest kids fun runs in Northern California. The early entry fee ($20 for the 5K/10K) is available through midnight this Saturday, October 15th - be sure to get your entry in before this cut-off date to receive the lower fee. As always, we also offer the option to upgrade to a long sleeve t-shirt, for just $5. This upgrade is available through November 8th.

Help earn money for the schools. EVERY RUNNER COUNTS in the Davis Turkey Trot. The Davis Turkey Trot historically provides much of it’s proceeds to several local clubs & organizations such as the Food Bank of Yolo County and the UCD Athletics. This year, we will add another organization to our list...Yolo County K-12 schools. By creating a new EXTRA CREDIT PROGRAM, we are providing ALL K-12 schools in Yolo County an equal chance to raise money for their school. Get your friends and family to join you and make sure they include the name of your school on the entry form. Each listed school will receive an extra credit point. These points can be turned into cash. To determine if your Yolo County school is participating, contact your PTA President or Principal. A current list of participating schools is also available on our website.
