Stride for Life Cancer Run Celebrates 10th Anniversary
Vacaville, CA – This Sunday will mark the 10th anniversary of the Marti Nelson Stride for Life™ 5K/10K Run or Walk. To celebrate this incredible milestone, we are pleased to introduce our new centralized staging location: Centennial Park. The Stride for Life Run/Walk offers something for every ability and age group. The event offers a fun and healthy start to your Sunday morning with all event proceeds going toward the Marti Nelson Cancer Foundation.
The 5K/10K Runs begin promptly at 8:30 am with race day registration beginning at 7:00 am. The event also features a Free kids 1/2 mile run taking place at 10:00 am. For those wishing to avoid race day registration, you may register in person/pick up your packet at Fleet Feet Sports-Vacaville on Saturday, October 22 from Noon-5:00 pm. Fleet Feet is located at 354 Merchant Street in downtown Vacaville.
For those not quite up for the run/walk challenge, we encourage you to volunteer at the event. All volunteers will receive a t-shirt courtesy of Kaiser Permanente and early morning refreshments including coffee, fruit juice and pastries compliments of Vacaville’s own KUIC.
