The 24th Annual Davis Turkey Trot is organized by the A Change of Pace Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization.

Our mission is to provide fun, safe exercise-oriented events in our community. In particular, we strive to get kids out and moving. As more elementary schools are forced to eliminate formal physical education programs due to budget cuts, exercise is becoming more scarce at school.

Proceeds from the Davis Turkey Trot will be used to fund after-school running programs in Yolo County. In conjunction with our corporate sponsors and grants received for this project, we hope to make an impact in elementary schools. With Type II Diabetes and childhood Obesity on the rise, it is crucial we get our youth up off the couch and into some running shoes.

In addition to our youth exercise programs outlined above, the Davis Turkey Trot also provides a portion of its proceeds to local sports programs.that do not receive adequate funding. We are proud to be able to support these outstanding programs. Past beneficiaries have included UCD Women's Lacrosse and UCD Rowing.
