Q: May I run or walk the 5K/10K with a stroller?
A: Yes, but for your safety & those around you, we ask you start at the back of the pack.

Q: Is there a minimum age for the 5K?
A: Nope, we encourage kids of all ages to participate if they are able.

Q: If it's raining on race morning, what's the plan?
A: The event will take place rain or shine! We do not offer refunds in the event of inclement weather.

Q: Who do the proceeds benefit?
A: All net proceeds will benefit the Walnut Creek Education Foundation as well as P.E.A.K. Education Foundation.

Q: What is a "technical t-shirt"?
A: The standard entry includes a 100% cotton t-shirt. We are offering technical shirts, which are made of moisture-wicking fabric (100% polyester) in lieu of the cotton shirt for an additional $5.00. Many runners enjoy technical shirts becasue it pulls perspiration away from their body. To give our participants a choice based on their preferences, we're pleased to be able to offer both options this year.

Q: How does the timing for this race work?
A: We are excited to be using RFID Disposable Chip timing this year. Two label-thin timing chips will be affixed to the back of your race bib. There's nothing to put on your shoe, or return at the finish line. Simply wear your bib number on the front of your body, and be sure to cross the timing mats located at the start and at the finish line.

Q: Can I run wearing a turkey costume?
A: Sure - whatever makes the holiday fun for you!

Q: Are dogs allowed on the course?
A: While we realize that running or walking with your dog is enjoyable for many people and canines, we must respectfully ask you to leave your pet at home, unless it is a seeing-eye dog. It is not safe for either your dog or for others for dogs to be on the race course.

Q: My child is interested in participating in the kid's 1/4 mile fun run, but she is only 3. Is it OK if I run alongside her? Do I need to register?
A: Parents are welcome to run alongside their child in the 100 yard dash fun run. After all, we want this to be a comfortable and positive experience for all children. Parents who want to run alongside a child in either the 100 yard dash do not need to be registered. For the 1/4 Mile, we ask that parents refrain from running with their children if at all possible to minimize crowding on the course and to keep it safe from all.
